free virus protection?

Any good free virus protection out there?
I've been using AVG 7.5 but they just announced that it will be obsolete after may 31st, and I don't wanna spend $60 to upgrade to 8.0

stick with avg and as people have said there is an 8.0 version that is free which i'm using right now

Anyone claiming they know the best have never done research on "Detection" and "Disinfection" Rates. It doesn't matter if it can find it, if it cant remove it.

THey have free scans at their website. A lot of AV programs use their search engine under their name.

Defender pro is sold at Walmart for like 19 dollars i think and is Kaspersky hidden under that name so they can sell to the economy minded people and still have the exact same protection as those paying $79 at other retail chains for Kaspersky full.

You can download alot of free-trial version software then just download the crack using crackspider or some other search site.. BEWARE you need to scan the files with an anti-virus first since alot of them have trojans or other viruses/downloaders. VERY IMPORTANT. Not saying I do that of course.. no never.. ever.. .... yeeaaa.

On a side note.. does anyone have a CD key for Battlefield 2142? I lost mine a long time ago and also lost the one that Chain gave me (he doesnt play it anymore) ... sucks because I was a Brigadier General and havnt been able to play it on super high graphics with my new rig yet.
