This idiot is clearly suffering from a lack of game playing as a child, and now wants to ruin fun for everyone else..Is this a case of another "non issue" being pushed to the fore by state run media, while the real problems facing society are ignored? 50 yrs from now this is gonna seem real quaint, like old footage of Elvis shot above the waist to protect the world from the corrupting influence of his leather pants!

your frontal lobes are fried by that vid.
it's quite funny that jack thinks he can scare people into legislating video games further by using this type of scare tatcics

"hyper-reality situation in virtual-reality"
"the idea is to blow away as many people as you can in as short of period of time as you can, with as many different weapons as possible"

sad, really

I think I have said this before on another post. But wouldn't it be great if someone challenged him on a show and pointed out that millions of people play games on a daily basis and don't go around shooting people? What would he have to say to that. You could be like "Well Jack I played Counter Strike for 40 hours the past two weeks, I don't have any guns in my car or any motivation to shoot you in the face." Also did you hear about the guy that saved a person's life by playing America's Army? Apparently being a medic in that game is almost like real life and you have to sit through hours of tutorials and he saved someones life because of it.

And I thought I had a deity complex.

"This is the single greatest gift that any court has ever given me in my 31 years of practicing law. I shall now, through a new federal lawsuit, deconstruct The Florida Bar ... This court has threatened Thompson. He does not threaten back. He hereby informs this court that he will see it in federal court."

In other words:
"Florida not only won't listen to my worthless and idiotic vitriol, but is asking me to show proof that I'm not a gaming warmonger (I made that up, it will only make sense to me). Thus, I will take them to FEDERAL COURT so they HAVE to listen to me."

Srsly, even my mom thinks he's a fucktard, and that's saying a lot...she thinks our games are too violent.

And instead of bringing up the connection (however unrelated it may be) between some recent tragedies and video games, I'd rather counter-point with the that transients/odd-jobbers are more likely to attempt mass genocide. Hitler began to develop his hatred of Jews as a "very low-income" worker in Vienna. By Jack Thompson's theory, we should just kill all bums on sight.
